WITHDRAWAL MANAGEMENT (Detox) 6th floor Simpson

Provides safe and effective detoxification from substances of abuse;
education; counselling; and recovery planning to assist clients in
achieving a healthy lifestyle. In-patient and day patient services are
available.
CORE SERVICES 3rd floor Simpson Hall, NS

Provides immediate support and access to treatment - no waiting lists,
no referral required. Orientation Sessions are held every Tuesday
& Thursday morning 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Education Sessions
take place every morning. Treatment Groups are available
every afternoon, Monday to Friday; Education & Family Programs are
available in the evenings. Matrix Women's Services provides
workshops through CORE and the Halifax CCSS office.
COUNSELLING AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES

Available to anyone who has been affected by their own or others'
misuse of alcohol, other drugs, or gambling.
Satellite offices are located throughout Capital Health in Dartmouth
(Simpson Hall, NSH site), Spryfield (Captain William Spry Centre),
Sackville (Cobequid Community Health Centre), Windsor (Hants Community
Hospital), Musquodoboit Harbour (Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital,
Musquodoboit Valley (Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital), and Sheet
Harbour (Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital). Orientation sessions are
held regularly. Call for times.
MATRIX WOMEN’S SERVICES provides workshops through CORE and the Halifax
CCSS office.
DWI PROGRAMS are provided through the Halifax office.
TOBACCO INTERVENTION PROGRAM 5th floor Simpson Hall,

Provides treatment services for those interested in stopping their use
of tobacco products.
PREVENTION & COMMUNITY EDUCATION 424-5623
Delivers a comprehensive range of services throughout the region.
Resource staff provide individuals, groups, communities, schools, and
professionals with information, education and training programs.
CHOICES Marshall Treatment Centre, NSH

Provides treatment services for 13-19 year-olds including day &
residential programs, out-patient services and parent programs.
